About Anna

Anna A. McCombs, Esq. is a New York real estate attorney with more than two decades of experience across brokerage, real estate transactions, and property investment.

Before becoming an attorney, Anna built an extensive career in real estate sales, leasing, business development, and brokerage. Her legal career began while she was still attending Hofstra University School of Law, where she worked as a law clerk on real estate acquisitions, leasing matters, client meetings, and closings.

After earning her J.D. in 2012 and being admitted to practice in New York in 2013, Anna practiced law with Abrams Garfinkel Margolis Bergson, LLP in New York City before founding The Law Offices of Anna A. McCombs, P.C. in 2015. She is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Her practice focuses on real estate transactions, including residential and commercial purchases and sales, investor representation, distressed real estate, short sales, foreclosure-related matters, and complex transactions requiring coordination among multiple parties.

Anna’s background allows her to evaluate transactions from several perspectives at once. Legal rights and contractual protections are important, but so are timing, financing, risk, flexibility, and the client’s broader objective. That practical understanding informs the way she advises clients and approaches negotiations.

Her practice is built around direct client relationships and continued involvement throughout the transaction. Anna works closely with clients, brokers, lenders, title professionals, and opposing counsel to address issues efficiently, protect the client’s interests, and keep transactions moving toward closing.

In addition to her legal and real estate work, Anna is active in public service and education governance. She serves as Vice President of the Franklin Square Union Free School District Board of Education and on the Executive Committee of the Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association, with additional involvement in state and national school-board advocacy and policy work.
