Real Estate Transactions • Distressed Real Estate • Complex Transactions
Real estate looks different when you have been on more than one side of the transaction.
For more than two decades, I have worked in real estate across brokerage, investing, and law. That experience gives me a practical perspective on real estate transactions and an understanding of the issues that matter to brokers, purchasers, sellers, and investors.
Today, my legal practice focuses on real estate transactions, particularly those involving distressed properties and matters that require more than a standard approach.
A Practical Perspective on Real Estate
Real estate decisions are rarely about one number or one contract provision.
Having purchased and invested in multiple properties myself, I understand firsthand that the legal issues are only one part of the decision. Price matters, but so do timing, financing, risk, flexibility, potential value, and whether the transaction ultimately makes sense.
That perspective informs the way I approach my legal practice: understand the client’s objective, identify the issues that matter, and provide practical legal guidance with the transaction as a whole in mind.

Focused on the Transaction—and the Client’s Objective
A successful real estate transaction is not always about achieving the lowest purchase price or winning every negotiating point.
It is about understanding what matters to the client, protecting the value of the transaction, and knowing which issues are worth negotiating and which ones should not stand in the way of a successful closing.
I advocate for my clients while keeping the transaction moving forward. That means working through the points that matter, protecting important rights and value, and maintaining productive relationships with opposing counsel, brokers, lenders, and the other professionals involved in completing the transaction.
My practice is built around direct client relationships. When you retain my firm, I remain directly involved in your matter and accessible throughout the transaction.
Let’s Talk About Your Transaction
Whether you are navigating a distressed property, purchasing or selling real estate, evaluating an opportunity, or dealing with a transaction that has become more complicated than expected, the first step is understanding the situation and the available options.
